The Planning Process

20130107-090416.jpg I admit it freely: I always believed myself armored against wedding mania. I believed eloping superior to grand celebrations, and so never imagined myself the axis of the "planning" cyclone. All such conclusions now show themselves to be mere fantasy.

I have spent 19.02 days designing invitations. I've taken and "borrowed" (from the internet) pictures of wedding cakes, Save-The-Dates, and flower arrangements. It's not that I'm obsessed with the day, or that I love being a future bride (definitely hate all of the attention). Rather, I'm very, very, very, very concerned about everyone enjoying themselves (a), staying on budget (b--a bigger and bigger problem every day), and most of all, making everyone exceedingly happy (c--the largest, most important part).

I will be so glad when all of this is over and I can be happily married--that's the really exciting part!

Thankfully, Justin has not totally abandoned me. He has also been designing invitations, created a wedding guest excel sheet, researched locations and pricing (thankfully we've long finished that part!), and has been, in all possible ways, adorably intelligent and funny. I love that man.
