About five seconds from our little cottage-home there is this incredible micro field. It's been for sale for the past three years without any takers, which makes me so happy since it feels like a tiny sliver of country right in the middle of historic Carrollton. It helps, I suppose, that across the street is a 2 acre property complete with a pasture, horses, and sweet little ponies! Anyway, every March - April this small field explodes with yellow blooms. The wildflowers tower over 3 and a half feet, dwarfing my two sweet little boys considerably. Last year in an act of Springtime spontaneity I grabbed the SLR, a blanket, and the boys and took a ton of wildflower photos. This year when I saw the blooms sprouting I did it yet again.

These photos were shot between 6:30pm and 7:00pm--our version of the "golden hour"--when the lighting was absolutely perfect! I'm so happy about these eventhough the boys wouldn't sit still, giving me LOTs of blury pics that could have been flawless. Happy Spring, everyone!
