A beautiful mess
Beauty in the mess. This was my first attempt at encaustic art and it was fun (if a bit sloppy and poorly executed). I was inspired by James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed."Over the past 7 years in home groups I've confessed a lot of sin to others: Disordered eating, pride, selfishness, anger, jealousy, gossip, lying, coveting, and self-righteousness. It's been a lot of ugly, but through God's grace and through Faith Skinner Morin, Amanda Baublet, Natalie Tischler, and Megan Besong (my female Hg leaders in chronological order), there's been such beauty and redemption. Praise God who takes our sinful mess and makes beauty!
